Just about all the ones I showed are discontinued for a long time. You would need to find another collector that's willing to sell or find a retailer who resells knives.

I actually just built a large trunk survival kit. It's really just the prototype so it's not a perfected kit there will be a lot of improvements that can be made in the future. I plan to film that video soon and then post in the next few weeks.

Thanks! Dalton made some sweet knuckles. The dogface knuckles were a grail of mine for years until I picked up both the single and double edge versions.

The Microtech D/A is one I have been wanting for a while. It's not common to find D/A knives that use coil springs.

Dalton's are my favorite knives, Rob Dalton was so innovative and and creative in his designs and names for knives. So far haven't seen anyone that compares. Occasionally, I see Mr. Oches at the gun shows here in Florida, who makes the Black knife switchblades. He doesn't like Robby Dalton because they had a falling out about copying designs etc. Nice to see you like the Dalton's stuff. He apparently died in 2023.

@@mphil3051 It would be difficult for someone to match the number of unique switchblade designs that Dalton has done. Lots of companies got their start by either copying the black knife or taking elements from it. I have started collecting different versions.

@@thenextarcher Totally agree. Will follow your channel to see your finds. Here in South Florida, Daltons are harder to find at the gunshows, but starting to stop a pawn shops, etc.

@@mphil3051Daltons are getting harder to find. Iv been pretty lucky with finding Daltons. My first Dalton was picked up at a flea market in Florida while I was on vacation. With Dalton having lived in Lexington I have been able to find a few at gun shows or flea markets in and around Kentucky. I loved attending Knob Creek machine gun shoot and wished I could have attended back when Dalton was selling there. I can't find the photo anymore but I have seen one that was flame anodized. It does look pretty sweet.

They used carbon v steel. From what I have read its identical to the C-V steel that Case uses on their carbon steel knives. Basically 1095 with Nickel--Chromium and Vanadium added.

I have definitely been considering showing off a bug out bag. It would allow me to show off some different items as this kit hasn't changed much in the past couple years.

Ive watched all your survival kit vids, so far this one didint had any fun upgrades, pretty much the lighter, i suggest you to go for a peenut lighter with zippo fuel, maybe a maratac ti, or Exotac titan light, id also updade flashlights, remove izzula, and attach full sized fix blade on back of the pouch on molle, maybe a multi tool, i know you dont like mtools, but 1 leatherman could replace bunct of items you have in a more compact way, and save you some space, some cortage, update whistle as well, as for huting tools, they are cool, that condore arsenal is very nice!

@@aephspore3341 Thanks! I agree, I believe I may need to switch up to a different style of kit to show more/different items. This specific kit has gotten to a point that I like where its at so only small changes are being made. Iv considered making a huge survival kit using a rolling pelican case or showing off a survival backpack loadout.

A .375 coil spring was used for the mini reflex.

They were only produced in 2000. The closest thing still being made would be the Paragon Estiletto

Hello, Yes I still own it. I do not wear it anymore though. Sadly I was wearing it when using deet and it ruined the finish so it doesn't look very good anymore. My wrists are also small so it always looked awkward.

I almost filmed it back in January but decided against it as Iv been considering replacing or removing a few items. When I post an update video I wanted to avoid just just updating one or two of the items.

Nice! I believe they made the clones in both black and silver. I own one of the black clones. Even the clones are pretty sweet but are somewhat dangerous as mine will deploy if the side is struck without even touching the button.

Ferro rods are designed to rapidly oxide resulting in sparks. These same oxides + iron make ferro rods corrode when exposed to moisture slowly turning them into dust. If you search ferro rod corrosion you can see many examples of this happening.
